Virginia "Virg" Ruth Kulig, 85, of Blair died on Monday, December 30, 2013, at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall, WI.
Virginia was born on July 22, 1928, in Arcadia to Thomas and Rose (Swietz) Kupietz. She married August Kulig on January 21, 1947, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church then became a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Virginia worked as a Practical Nurse at Trinity Memorial Hospital in Cudahy for 30 years. She was the proud owner of Farmer's Inn in Arcadia for 10 years. She was also a member of the tavern league.
Virginia is survived by one son: Gary (Karen) Kulig of Cudahy, two daughters: Sharon Schue of Independence, Patricia (David) Samolinski of Lyndon Station, five grandchildren: Michael, Jason, Shannon, Cory, and Carrie, two great grandchildren: Hannah Samolinski, Joelle Schue, one sister: Janice (Richard) Glowcheski of Arcadia, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gust on April 2, 2001, three daughters, Mary, Susan, and Mary in infancy, and a grandson, Ryan Kulig.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia with the Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM at church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in North Creek, rural Arcadia.
