Richard "Dick" Herman Pampuch, 73, of Arcadia died on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at his home. Dick was born on December 14, 1945, in Arcadia to Herman and Bernice (Smieja) Pampuch. He graduated from Arcadia High School, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1966. He had served on the Honor Guard for the funeral of President John F. Kennedy.
Dick married Jane Schock on September 7, 1968, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia. They later divorced. He was a Master Plumber working for Kube Plumbing and later with Reglin and Hesch Construction. He and Duane Herold had made several trips to the Boy's Ranch in Branson, MO to teach the trades of plumbing, welding and construction.
Dick enjoyed Wisconsin sports: The Badgers, Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Arcadia High School Athletics, and he had managed the Dan's Bar Softball Team. He also served on the Council for the City of Arcadia. His grandson Mitch was his pride and joy. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and was an avid shopper for gadgets, cookware, and novelty items.
Dick is survived by 2 daughters: Vickie (Donnie) Kreibich, Brenda Pampuch both of Arcadia; grandson: Mitchell Kreibich of Arcadia; 2 brothers: Gary (Pat) Pampuch of Whitehall and James Judy) Pampuch of Joliet, IL, godchild Chelsey Stonesifer and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: David; and sister: Janet Franks.
Friends and family may call on Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with a Memorial Service at 12:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, with Sherry Reck-Haines as Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Military Rites by Tickfer-Erickson Legion Post 17.
