Renita M. Sobotta, 82 of Arcadia, WI died on Friday, August 25, 2017, at Sauer Health Care in Winona, MN. Renita was born on August 8, 1935, in Independence, WI to Jacob and Clara (Bautch) Sura.
Renita graduated from Independence High School in 1953. She married Roland Sobotta on August 11, 1956, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence. Renita earned her cosmetology degree along with a beauty shop managers license and worked for Mary Pietrek's Beauty Shop in Arcadia before children. Renita was a home maker and stay at home mom. She developed in her heart the role of watching over the numerous neighborhood children. She was a devoted Mother/Grandmother who cherished every opportunity spent with family. Birthday celebrations were of significant importance. Renita endured an autoimmune disease in a pleasant manner with few realizing the pain and discomfort that persisted throughout her life. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the P.C.C.W. and was a member of the Meadowlark Homemakers.
Renita is survived by her husband, Rollie of Arcadia, three sons: William (Cindy) Sobotta of Folsom, CA, Michael (Colleen) Sobotta of Arcadia and Paul (Sandra) Sobotta of Arcadia; one brother: Herman Sura of Fountain City; nine grandchildren: William and Nicholas Sobotta, Meghan (Adam) Murphy, Mitchell (fiancé, Ivy Miemietz) Sobotta, Taylor Sobotta, Kendra (Taylor) Mathias, Kyle Sobotta, Mikaela (Bryce) Koval and Kathryn Sobotta; one great granddaughter: Hattie Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law: Jane Sura.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Holy
Family Parish in Arcadia, with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Arcadia.
