Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Schlesser, 38, of Arcadia, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.
Becky was born on June 7, 1979, to David and Marjorie (Rothering) Soppa. After graduating from Arcadia High School, she went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Winona State and a Master's Degree in Accounting from St. Mary's University. Becky was currently employed as a financial analyst with Ashley Furniture Industries. She was united in marriage to Adam Schlesser on August 30, 2003, at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia. Together the couple have two children, the lights of her life, Amaya (8) and Cade (7). Becky was involved on the finance committee at Holy Family Catholic School, volunteered with the PCCW for the fall festival, coached youth basketball, and enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, gardening, canning, a good Bloody Mary and spending time with her children and family.
Becky is survived by her husband: Adam of Arcadia; daughter: Amaya, and son: Cade, both at home; parents: David and Marge Soppa of Arcadia; sisters: Amy (Greg) Schaitel of Chatfield, MN, and Christina (Brad) Schank of Galesville; grandmother: Bernice Soppa of Arcadia; six nieces and nephews, and her in-laws: Ed and Betty Schlesser.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Donald and Rosella Rothering, and Conrad Soppa; uncle and Godfather: Bernie Soppa; and aunt: Peggy Soppa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Holy Family Parish with Reverend Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 29th at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, with a 7 p.m. public prayer service, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service at church on Monday. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
