Raymond J. Maier Jr. 75, of Fountain City, WI passed away on July 29, 2014, at his home with his family at his side. He was born on March 31, 1939, to Raymond C. and Verna (Weltzien) Maier in Cochrane, WI. He married Kathryn M. Lisowski on May 17, 1958, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee, WI.
He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Fountain City, his four children: Randy and Lori (Blum) Maier of Buffalo City, Marie and Terry Benning of Buffalo City, Dennis Maier of Waumandee, Dwayne Maier of New Richmond; 12 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; sisters: Glennis Mae Adank of Fountain City, La Vonne and Jesse Comero of Mondovi, Charlene and Lonnie Adank of Fountain City, Carolyn Lisowski of Owatonna, MN; sisters-in-law: Eleanor Maier of Arcadia, and Janice Maier of Cochrane. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Myles and Gail Maier; daughter-in-law: Lenette (Tufte) Maier, brothers-in-law: Virgil Adank and Joe Lisowski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014, at 10:30 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Jazdzewski officiating. Family and friends may call on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Waumandee, WI.
