Pearl E. Stevenson, 98, of Minneapolis and formerly of Arcadia died on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Augustana Health Care Center in Minneapolis. Pearl was born on October 29, 1917, in Arcadia to Arthur and Nora (Ziegler) Hare.
Pearl married Donald Stevenson on January 25, 1934, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Arcadia. Together Pearl and Don owned Newcomb Valley Bar. They late sold the bar and Don went into the carpentry business. Pearl was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Pearl is survived by her daughter: Peggy Stevenson of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald on May 13, 1983, and her brother and sister-in-law: Lester and Bertha Hare.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
