Morris (Butch) Lowell Jensen Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on July 9, 2017 at the age of 74.
Morrris is preceded in death by his parents, Morris Jensen Sr. and Rose (Bautch) Jensen.
Morris is survived by his loving wife, Pina, of 50 years. They were married in Naples, Italy on April 25th, 1967.
Morris (Papa) is also lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Rosie (Jack) Moehling of Midlothian, Virginia and Lisa (Luke) Schaffner of Arcadia, Wisconsin and his grandchildren: Danielle, Rachael and Mackenzie Filla of Midlothian Virginia and Sidney, Sienna and Samuel Morris Schaffner of Arcadia, Wisconsin. Morris is the first of his siblings to pass and he is remembered fondly by his family members; Jean (Jim) Schultz, Doris (Larry) Camastral, Neal Jensen and Dennis (Donna) Jensen.
Morris was born in Arcadia, WI. On March 1, 1943. He graduated from Arcadia High School in 1961 went on to serve his country by joining the Navy. He trained as a Nuclear weapons specialist. Morris loved serving his country. Morris was honorable discharged after 11 years of service due to injuries he sustained during his time in the Navy. He was an honorable man and found other ways to serve in other venues: Morris was an active member of the city council, the school board, and Morris became mayor of his hometown, Arcadia. He was also an avid businessman and loved the furniture industry. Morris ran two successful furniture businesses, one in Wisconsin and also Italy. The furniture business was a very important part of his life.
Morris loved his family; Pina was the love of his life and he was not shy to say so. He was also very proud of his two daughters and grandchildren. Morris loved his dog Lola and all animals. He had a passion for helping animals in need and over the years, he has helped hundreds. Morris had a passion for fishing, especially trout fishing, and enjoyed teaching his children how to fish. Morris also enjoyed telling stories about his life and it is through those stories, his memories will go on forever.
The visitation will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 821 Lincoln Street, Arcadia, WI on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. an hour before the funeral service.
The funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 821 Lincoln Street, Arcadia, WI on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Barbara Bruneau officiating. Military Rites will follow by the Tickfer-Erickson Legion Post 17.
