Mary Kamla

October 16, 1941 — April 21, 2021

Mary Lou "Lulu" Kamla,79, formerly of Arcadia, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Pigeon Falls Health Care Center.
Lulu was born in Arcadia on October 16, 1941, the youngest of 6 children, to Andrew and Frances (Stelmach) Kamla. She graduated from Arcadia High School and attended Eau Claire Technical School majoring in Business Machines and Madison Business School. She worked previously for Ashley Furniture, Valley Trophies, and then worked as a custodian at the Arcadia Elementary School. After leaving the school district, Lulu was employed at McDonald's where she enjoyed seeing friends and meeting new people. When she was not at work, Lulu volunteered for over 20 years at the nursing home in Arcadia. She was a lifelong, devout Catholic and a member of Holy Family Parish. Lulu enjoyed listening to music, watching the news and Westerns on TV, bowling, and spending time with her peers and family. She also enjoyed sitting outside with her dog, Sophie, while watching the golfers and drinking Diet Pepsi. Her kind-heartedness and spunk will be missed by all who knew her.
Lulu is survived by her sisters: Margaret Crowley of Arcadia, Doris (James) Killian of Fountain City; sisters-in-law: Patsy Kamla of Madison and Darlene Kamla of Arcadia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: LaVerne E. "Suzy" (Joan) Sobotta, Richard, James Kamla, and brother-in-law: James Crowley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Monday, April 26, 2021, at Holy Family Parish, with Father Kyle Laylan officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation one hour prior to mass at church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia. Due to the circumstances surrounding Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing will be strongly encouraged.
