Martha F. Pronschinske, 90, of Arcadia died on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN.
Martha was born on July 29, 1924, in Arcadia to Anton and Elizabeth (Sobotta) Soppa. She married Clement Pronschinske on October 17, 1944, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia.
Together they farmed in the town of Arcadia, where they raised 8 wonderful children. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the P.C.C. W. Martha and Clem loved going to dances when the farm work was done. Martha also enjoyed gardening, picking eggs, making bread and cooking. No one ever left their home hungry. During the holidays or special occasions, there was always an abundance of cheese coffee cake. Martha took pride in her large garden spending time preserving fruits/vegetables and donating to those who visited. She also donated to the local school.
Martha is survived by her husband: Clem of Arcadia; children: Donald (Bev) Pronschinske of Arcadia, Darrel (Mary) Pronschinske of Independence, Marlette (Alfred) Anderson of Racine, Jo Mae Waletzko of Bloomer, Mary (Dennis) Klonecki of Arcadia, Joan (Keith) Koval of Arcadia, Terry (Sally) Pronschinske of Holmen, Harry (Deb) Pronschinske of Eleva; 2 sisters: Clarice (Glen) Bawek of Arcadia, Therese James of Wichita, KS ; 1 brother: Richard Soppa of Rockford, IL; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Marcel, Fred, Lawrence, Mike Soppa; and 4 sisters: Sister Miranda Soppa, Sister Elise Soppa, Monica Rumpel and Gertrude Soppa. Martha was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia, where there will be a 7:00 PM prayer service followed by a rosary. Friends may also call on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in rural Arcadia.
