Marlieus A. Fernholz, 73, of Galesville died April 29, 2013, at her home. Marlieus was born June 27, 1939, to Bernard and Elaine (Hare) Emerson in La Crosse, WI.
On February 18, 1958, she married James Fernholz at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Galesville, WI.
Marlee had several jobs throughout her life including: farming, factory work, cook at the G.E.T. High School and later at the deli in the grocery store in town. She loved to go out to eat with family, visiting over coffee, reading, sewing, watching the birds and animals, being outside and gardening. Marlee was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Marlee is survived by three sons; Randy (Lynda) Fernholz of West Salem, Todd Fernholz of Galesville, Cody Fernholz of Eau Claire; two daughters Cheryl (James) Nelson, Jamie (James) Stetzer, both of Galesville; six grandchildren, Andrew (Jenna), Kevin, McKenzi, John (Haily), Lainey (Nick), and Mindy; four great grandchildren, Jackson, Ava, Ari, and Adriana; one sister; Kathy (Dave) Mueller of Galesville; three half sisters Renee (Ernie) Komperud of Galesville, Shelley Emerson of Appleton, Lori (Don) Wyttenbach of Arcadia; and a niece; Mari Mueller of Galesville, WI.
Marlee was preceded in death by her parents, step father; Bernard "Pop" Lebakken: and her husband James.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday May 4, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Galesville, with Fr. Edmund Doerre officiating. Burial will be in Pine Cliff Cemetery in Galesville. Friends may call from 9:00 AM until 11:00AM, Saturday May 4, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Galesville, WI.
