Margaret Hattie Crowley, 93, of Arcadia, died on January 10, 2024, at Grandview Care Center in Blair. She was born in Arcadia on April 6, 1930, to Andrew and Frances (Stelmach) Kamla. Prior to graduation, she would help at her family’s restaurant. After graduating from high school, Margaret was employed by the law firm of Kostner, Ward & Fugina as a secretary. On special occasions, she would help decorate cakes and work the counter at Myers Bakery with her good friend, Jeanette Myers. She was united in marriage to James Crowley on May 18, 1957, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia, and the couple was blessed with three children. Margaret enjoyed walking, was an avid reader and golfer. She golfed right up to the age of 90. As a young girl, she enjoyed a day of 27 holes of golf during the day and then a trip to a “Movie” in the evening. She also did some sewing, but enjoyed, more so, knitting, crocheting and needle point. Though she was a devoted wife and mother, after her retirement, Margaret’s grandchildren became the light of her life. She loved to babysit and spend time with her grandchildren, and proudly supported them in all of their endeavors. The treasure that is her life will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family.
