Magdalene Mary Klein, 98, of Galesville and formerly Trempealeau, WI died on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Marinuka Manor in Galesville, WI.
Magdalene was born on November 9, 1918, in Arcadia to Joseph and Mary (Sobotta) Kupietz. On February 28, 1938, she married Floyd L. Klein at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia.
Magdalene farmed with Floyd until 1992 when they retired.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Trempealeau and the P.C.C.W. Magdalene was devoted to her Catholic Faith and praying the rosary. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always made sure that the children had gifts for Christmas and birthdays. When company came she had wonderful homemade bread, apple pies and other treats for her guests. She was a wonderful cook.
Magdalene is survived by her children: Barbara (Clayton) Hammer of Galesville, Sharon (Robert) Kramer of Dodge, Roger (Joanne) Klein of Arcadia, Carlton Klein of Trempealeau, Wendell (Anna) Klein of Trempealeau, Loren (Sharon) Klein of Winona, Mark (Lisa) Klein of Winona; 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; sisters-in-laws: Florence and Marie Kupietz; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Floyd; son: Floyd Jr; grandchildren: Keith Kramer, Rebecca Klein, Danette Hammer; great grandson: Leif Erickson; Siblings: Alfred, Vince, Florian, Phillip, La Verne, Titus, Joseph Kupietz, Helen Schmitt, Martha Schultz, Amelia Pierzyna; and special nephew: Leonard Pierzyna.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 11:00 AM at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Trempealeau with Father Antony Joseph officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia where there will be a 7:30 PM rosary. They may also call on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Trempealeau.
Magdalene's family would like to thank the staff at Marinuka Manor for the exceptional care they gave her and her family.
