Lloyd Woyczik

Lloyd Peter Woyczik, age 94, of Holmen, formerly of Arcadia, died on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Bethany Heights Assisted Living in Holmen. He was born on June 3, 1923 in Glencoe Township to Peter and Irene (Waters) Woyczik. He grew up in the Waumandee area and attended school there. He joined the Army in 1942 and served during WWII before being discharged in 1945. While in England, he met the love of his life, Mary Margaret Cook. They were married on November 22, 1943 in Braintree Essex, England. After the war, the couple returned to Wisconsin and made their home there. Lloyd worked as a carpenter for Oaky Arnold and Schank Weaver over the years. He built many buildings in Arcadia and the surrounding areas. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the VFW in the Twin Cities. Lloyd loved to hunt but he loved his family most of all.
He is survived by his three sons, Paul (Monica) Woyczik of Trempealeau, Peter (Sharon) Woyczik of Trempealeau, and Terry Woyczik of Black River Falls; four daughters, Judy (Alvin) Zastrow of Buffalo City, Susanne Stoeckley of La Crosse, Genilda Woyczik (Larry Waters) of Holmen, and Irene (Jeff) Kiedrowski of Pine Creek; daughter-in-law, Patricia Woyczik of Winona; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, John (Patricia) Woyczik of Arcadia; two sisters, Ramona Schwertel of Arcadia and Phyllis Gulka of California; two brothers-in-law, Herman Sura of Fountain City and Dale Servais of Arcadia;and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Woyczik; son, Daniel Woyczik; parents, Peter and Irene Woyczik; four sisters, Mary Ann Servais, Elaine Brown, sister Marie Woyczik, and Jane Sura; son-in-law Jerry Stoeckley and daughter-in-law Sherry Woyczsik.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday November, 8, 2017 at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Glencoe Township.
