Kristin Jane Little-Smith, 57, of Independence, WI died on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare Hospital in La Crosse, WI.
Kristin was born on July 2, 1960, in Black River Falls, WI, to Peter and Susan (Gilbertson) Peterson. She graduated from Arcadia High School, had worked at Pamida Pharmacy in Arcadia and for the Kramer Company as a scale operator. Kris married Francis Little and later married Robert J. Smith on July 26, 2003, on the Smith Family Farm . She was a lover of nature, waterfalls, and gardening. Kris had a green thumb that was incomparable. When Kris wasn't gardening, she enjoyed cooking, painting, and finding new ways to use her creativity. She also enjoyed going on walks with her beloved dog Max, catching up with friends, and listening to music. Most recently, she was looking forward to spoiling her grandbabies.
Kristin is survived by her husband: Bob of Independence; two daughters: Ashley (Jake Lund) Little of Trempealeau, Allison (Wallace) Linsmeyer of Richfield, MN; her mother and stepfather: Susan (Bill) Turney of Phoenix, AZ; her brother: Tim Peterson of Arcadia; one grandson: Reece Linsmeyer; and one grandson on the way: Baby Boy Lund. She was preceded in death by her Father: Peter Peterson; her maternal grandparents: Ray and Joyce Gilbertson; her paternal grandparents: Norman and Esther Peterson; and her father-in-law: Claraton (Smitty) Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home with a fellowship to follow at the Arcadia Country Club. Wozney-Killian Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
