Josephine "Josie" M. Korpal, 97, of, Arcadia, WI. Died Friday December 27, 2013 at Gundersen
Tri-County Care Center in Whitehall, WI.
Josie was born Dec. 26, 1916 to Frank and Pauline (Slaby) Maciosek in Independence, WI. She
Married Leo "Larry" Korpal in October 1939 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia, WI.
She was a member of the Holy Family Parish , St. Josephs Nursing Home as an active volunteer.
Josie and Larry farmed in Korpal valley for many years before retiring in Arcadia. She was employed by
St. Joseph Hospital dietary department for 18 years. She loved flowers and taking care of her lawn until
The age of 95.
She is survived by her daughter Delphine of Whitehall,a brother Alfred Maciosek of Arcadia, WI. 2 grandchildren, Leonard and Lindsey, 4 great-
Grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 8 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her
Parents, Husband Larry, a son LeRoy, and a brother Emil.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia
Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus cemetery, in Arcadia.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Holy Family Parish in
Arcadia. A Roseary will be held at 10:30 AM.
