Jeanette A. Myers, 79 of Arcadia, died on at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI, on Friday, December 12, 2014.
Jeanette was born on February 3, 1935, in Trout Run Valley, Town of Arcadia, to Joseph P. and Petronella (Kamrowski) Kokott. She attended Cortland Public School and St. Stanislaus Catholic School, graduating from Arcadia High School as Salutatorian in 1953. She then helped her father on the farm while her brother served in Korea. She was then employed as a legal secretary at the law firm of Fugina, Kostner, Quinn and Ward for 16 years.
Jeanette married Gerald E. Myers on January 28, 1963, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. They have been married for over 50 years. At that time she became involved in working and managing Myers Bakery until her retirement.
Jeanette was a member of Holy Family Parish and the P.C.C.W., and the Arcadia Historical Society. She loved wildlife, dogs and birds.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald of Arcadia, two sons: Thomas (Cindy) Myers, Allen (Dana) Myers, two step sons: Michael (Rita) Myers, Patrick (Roxanne) Myers; numerous grandchildren; nieces; nephews; brother, Joseph A. Kokott; three sisters: Joan Nehasil, Lucille Guza, Patricia Ann Kriesel, and special friend: Margaret Crowley, friend for over 60 years.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, a step son, Gerald Myers Jr., and Special Aunt and Uncle, Evelyn and Allie Kokott.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday December 18, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery in Town of Glencoe. Friends may call on Thursday December 18, 2014, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 A M at Holy Family Parish, Arcadia, WI. The family requests that Memorials be made out to the Holy Family Educational Center.
