James "Chinski" P. Losinski, 61, of Arcadia, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Jim was born on June 1, 1957, to James S. Sr., and Evelyn P. (Tamke) Losinski. After graduating from Arcadia High School in 1975, Jim went to work at Ashley Furniture, recently retiring after 41 years of service. He enjoyed farming, driving tractors and his Ranger, snowmobiling, and attending local racetracks. Also, he watched the NASCAR Sportsman's Division on TV.
On September 15, 1990, Jim was united in marriage to the love of his life, Barbara J. Gabrick, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fountain City. In 2010, Jim and Barb decided to put up a breeder barn for Gold ‘N Plump, now known as Pilgrim's Pride.
Jim is survived by his wife: Barbara of Arcadia; daughters: Julie (Rob) (Gabrick) Hurlburt of Arcadia and Laura (Ruben) (Losinski) Rodriguez of Arcadia; mother: Evelyn Losinski of Arcadia; grandchildren: Brianna, Catherine, and Alanna Hurlburt, and Shaylah, Joseph and Evelyn Rodriguez; sisters: Janet (Bob) Poss of Winona and Carol (Mike) Wineski of Arcadia; and brother: Steve (Jennifer) Losinski of Fountain City.
He was preceded in death by his father: James, Sr.; daughter in infancy: Victoria; and brother: Michael Losinski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Holy Family Parish with Reverend Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Wozney-Killian, where there will be a public prayer service at 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary, and also from 1 p.m. until the time of service at church on Friday. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Township of Glencoe. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial beginning at 4 p.m. at the Arcadia Sportsman's Club.
