Harlan John Newcomb, 74, of Arcadia died on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at his home. He was born on July 13, 1938, in Arcadia to John and Carmen (Scharlau) Newcomb. He attended area schools, farmed in the Lewis Valley area, an avid hunter, member of the NRA, and a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Harlan is survived by two sisters; Mona (Leo) Hovell and Carol (Melvin) Comero. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia, with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
