Gabriel "Gabe" Moga, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 14, 2015. Gabe was born to Ralph and Verna (Walski) Moga, March 21, 1922. He married Dorothy Thomas on May 15, 1945. Together they had a small farm where they raised 5 sons during their 68 years of marriage.
Gabe had a love for farming and his special tractor the 1206. Even in his late eighties Gabe could still be seen out driving the tractor during planting season and making hay. He loved getting up early in the morning to water his cattle and take a drive around the farm.
Gabe is survived by his 5 sons: Richard Moga of Dodge, WI, Ronald (Pat) Moga of Arcadia, WI, Dennis (Althea)Moga of Dodge, WI, Gregory (Mischelle Abts) Moga of Dodge, WI, and Patrick (Lynn) Moga of Winona, MN; grandchildren: Brenda (Emery )Childress, Mark (Kelly) Moga, Molly (Tim) Schultz, Marsha (Doug Schwoch) Moga, Nick and Hana Moga, and Kyle Moga; great-grandchildren Steven(Michelle) Levi-Moga, Chandler and Carson Schultz, Jalil Dillard, Raymond and Ryan Connelly; step great grandchildren: EJ and Chad Childress; great-great granddaughter: Aleah; three brothers and three sisters.
Gabe was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, daughter-in-law Susan Moga; grandchildren Michael and Rachel and great-grandchild, Paul.
A special thanks to Lisa Hamernick, Olivia Levitt, Jenna Pyka, Louise Jaszewski, and Winona Area Hospice for all the wonderful care they provided at home. Gabe enjoyed talking to all of the staff that came to assist him at home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Creek, WI, with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Pine Creek, WI.
