Florence M. Suchla, 95, passed away on December 6, 2017, at the Onalaska Care Center. She was born on November 15, 1922, to Peter J. Schlesser and Sophie (Rotering) Schlesser in Glencoe township, rural Arcadia.
She married Edmund J. Suchla on November 25, 1946. Together they farmed their entire life in Thompson Valley. She was involved at Holy Family Church, serving as a past officer and group chairman in the Rosary Society (PCCW), the Ways & Means committee, and a member/officer of the Nightingales Homemaker Club. She also raised chickens and sold eggs and chickens to area businesses and individuals.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Ronald) Benusa and Dean (Nancy C.) Suchla of Arcadia, and Marge (Norman) Nystrom of North Oaks, Minnesota. Further survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and a sister in law, Severine Schlesser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edmund in 2010, her sons Robert and Joseph, and her brothers Wilmer and Norbert.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00AM at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia, Rev. Woodrow Pace will be officiating.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home from 5:00PM-7:00PM, with Rosary at 7:00PM and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.wozneykillianfh.com
