Emily Kathleen Kampa, 36, of Winona, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, unexpectedly from medical complications in her home.
She was born on June 6, 1982, in Arcadia to Geary and Kathleen (Hildebrandt) Kampa. Emily graduated with the class of 2000 from Cochrane-Fountain City High School, participating in drama, art, choir, volleyball, and was selected as her class Homecoming Queen. After high school, she received an Associate's Degree in legal assistant studies and later a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources. She loved art and to travel, traveling to many different countries in her short life. She loved cruising and fishing on the Mississippi River.
Emily is survived by her parents Geary and Kathy, of Fountain City; sister: Erin Kampa of Robbinsdale, MN; grandmother: Margaret Kampa of Arcadia; significant other: Mikel Wilson of Winona; and a large loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Emily was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John Kampa, and maternal grandparents, Charles and Edith Hildebrandt.
A memorial service for Emily will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia with Father Kyle Laylan officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at later date.
