Dennis J. Servais, 68, of Cochrane, WI (formerly of Arcadia) passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 16, 2014, after a 14 month battle with cancer.
Dennis was born on December 11, 1945, in Whitehall, WI to Alfred and Dorothy (Schultz) Servais. He was united in marriage on November 19, 1966, to Diane Sobotta, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia. He was a 1964 graduate of Arcadia High School. He honorably served his country in the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He was a member of the Tickfer-Erickson American Legion Post 17. He worked at JI Case before returning to Arcadia to work for Golden Plump (formerly Arcadia Fryers), retiring after 42 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, camping, fishing, stock car racing and working on collector cars. He was a Packer and Nascar fan. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, Paige and Lauren.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Diane of 48 years of Cochrane; son, Dennis (Sharon) Servais of Savage, MN; granddaughters, Paige and Lauren Servais; brothers: Dale Servais of Arcadia, Dean (Kris) Servais of Independence, sisters: Darlene (Jim) Boberg of Arcadia, Diane (Marvin) Litscher of Independence, Debra (Richard) Putz of Fountain City, Donna (Wayne) Ruben of Fountain City, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Todd on Oct. 21, 2011, grandparents and in-laws.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, and also on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Arcadia.
