Dennis "Doc" Joseph Schock, 75, of Arcadia died on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at his home. Dennis was born on May 16, 1941, in Arcadia to Dominic and Irene (Waldera) Schock.
Dennis graduated from Arcadia High School. He served in the Army National Guard. On November 12, 1966, he married Betty Jane Severinski at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence, WI.
Doc had worked at Ashley Furniture Industries. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, picking mushrooms and hickory nuts. He spent many hours helping on the farm and loved to play Yahtzee with Betty.
Dennis is survived by his wife: Betty of Arcadia; 2 daughters: Lisa (Jon) Nelson of Arcadia, Laura Schock of Augusta: 2 sisters: Joan Schock of Arcadia, Jean (Marc) Rothering of Winona; 6 grandchildren: Tyler (Amanda) Beck of Mitchell, S.D. Brandon (Alexus) Beck of Independence, Bethany Ali of Arcadia, Corrina Ali of Augusta, Larissa Schock of Arcadia, Mayklin Petersen of Augusta; 2 great grandchildren: Damon Beck and Arthur Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: David Schock.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 1:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 PM (noon) until the time of services at the funeral home.
