David Harlen Ruff, 67, of Arcadia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, June 29, 2018.
David was born on July 12, 1950, to Harlen and Phyllis (Johnson) Ruff, of Arcadia, WI. After graduating from Arcadia High School, he honorably served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971. He married Arlene Bjorge on April 17, 1971 and together the couple raised 3 daughters: Debbie, Cathy, and Jackie. David was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years and as a yard driver for Ashley Furniture before his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren - his pride and joy.
David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Arlene of Arcadia; daughters: Debbie (Bill) Pientok of Holmen, Cathy (Jim) Selck of West Salem, and Jackie (Kylan) Gamez of Galesville; grandchildren, Maranda (significant other, Josh) and Mitchell (significant other, Audra) Pientok, Jonathan (significant other, Jessa), Dominick, and Nathan Selck, Bradyn and Logyn Gamez; brothers Kenny (Janet) Ruff of St. Joseph, MO, Larry (Theresa) Ruff of Trempealeau, and sister Susie (Bobby) Booker of Bartlett, TN; David's "generic daughter": Kristy Ruff and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Ricky Ruff and grandparents August and Milda Ruff.
Family and friends are invited for visitation for David from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia, WI. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, visitation from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia, WI with Reverend David Johnson officiating. Burial with Military Honors presented by the American Legion Post #17 will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Arcadia, WI.
