Daniel Lee Zeller, 71 of Galesville passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, surrounded by his wife and daughters and his special cat, Princess.
Daniel was born October 20, 1942, in La Crosse, WI to Margaret (Zeller) and Edward Lisowski. He graduated from Arcadia High School in 1960. Daniel married Connie Allensworth on Sept 9, 1961. They farmed in the Pleasantville area for 22 years. After farming, they moved to Schofield, WI where Danny drove semi truck for Wausau Homes and retired after 20 years of service, and then moved to the Galesville area.
Danny always looked forward to deer hunting season with his boys and his brothers. He was a huge Packer fan and loved his Nascar and watching Matt Kenseth. He loves to listen to and dance to the Rhythm Playboys. Danny loved his children and grandchildren very much. He tried to get to as many sporting events as he could far or near.
Daniel is survived by his wife Connie of 52 years; eight children: Barbara (Basil Fredrickson), Edward, Jeffrey (Kim), Deborah (Dan), Cynthia, Scott (Rhonda), Sharon Johnson,and Karen (Dan).
Daniel had sixteen grandchildren: Brittney and Kyle Pronschinske, Jennifer and Cameron Zeller, SPC Marcus and Rachel Zeller, Jordan, Tyler and Danielle Langner, Cassie and Codey Bisek, Callie (Willie) Sandberg, Sierra Zeller, Garrett Johnson, Seth Zeller and Bethany Buenning.
2 Great Grandchildren: Teegan Langner and Carson Bisek.
Daniel was the oldest of 13 children: Diana, James, Mary, Jane, Thomas, Annie, Cathy, Jackie, and Beverly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Michael & John. He is also preceded in death by one grandson Andrew Pronschinske.
Our family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and especially our guardian angels - Mayo Clinic Hospice Care for all the wonderful care and words of support that they have given and shown during this difficult time.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia, WI at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Memorial service will follow visitation.
A gathering will follow at Arcadia Country Club.
