Clarence Breining, 90, of Wabasha and formerly of Trempealeau, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at St. Elizabeth's Health Care Center in Wabasha.
Clarence was born on December 3, 1927, in Arcadia to Adolph and Mary (Bergman) Breining. He attended Trempealeau Schools and graduated with the class of 1946. After graduation, he worked at the Arcadia Hatchery, a variety of retail stores and owned his own convenience store called Breining's Corner. He enjoyed meeting people, a trait he was able to express while working as a greeter at Kmart in Winona. Clarence was a past member of the Trempealeau Lions Club and enjoyed traveling, dancing and bowling in his younger years.
Clarence is survived by his sister, Elaine Kamrowski of Arcadia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gaylord (Esther) Breining; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Kamrowski.
A funeral service for Clarence will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia with Father Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
