Clara Theresa Walters, 100, of Arcadia died on Monday, March 7, 2016, at St. Michael's Assisted Living in Fountain City, WI.
Clara was born on August 11, 1915, in the township of Arcadia to Jake and Agatha (Brynok) Blaha. Clara married Vilas "Wally" Walters on October 21, 1934, in Winona, MN. She was a telephone operator, and secretary for Wally's Electric Service in Arcadia. Clara was member of Christ Lutheran Church, the W.E.L.C.A., and quilters group. Clara was an avid gardener, knitter, loved sewing, walking and doing dishes for her granddaughter, Renee at the Kozy Kitchen.
Clara is survived by one son: Ray Walters of Arcadia and his children: Renee (Mike) Brueggen, and Rodney "Buck" (Rhonda) Walters; one daughter: Ramona (Charles) Carhart of Centerville, WI and her children: Curt, Mark (Maureen), Mike (Wendy), and Kelli Carhart; 5 great grandchildren: Evan and Cole Carhart, Michaela Brueggen, Jordan and Riley Walters; one brother: Clifford (Betty) Blaha of Ettrick; one sister: Bernice Blaha of Lowell, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, siblings: Monica, Joe, Donald; and daughter-in-law: Rita Walters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 3:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Trempealeau Public Cemetery, in Trempealeau, WI.
