Bernice Mary Bautch, 94, of Whitehall and formerly of Arcadia died on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Bernice was born on April 15, 1923, in Wickum Valley, Independence, Wisconsin to Lewis C. and Florence G. (Thomas) Bautch. Bernice married George R. Bautch on June 6, 1944, at Holy Cross Church in La Crosse, WI. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the PCCW, in Arcadia. Bernice enjoyed making bread with the ladies of the PCCW. She had worked at the A-G Broiler Plant for many years.
Bernice is survived by her daughters: Grace (Philip) Lunde of Hixton, WI, Rose Bautch of Port Washington, WI, Mary Bautch of West Bend, WI; grandchildren: Bruce (Penny) Bautch of Reedsburg, WI, Kevin Bautch, Denise (Jim) Bautch-Stoltman, June (Wayne) Harms, Tom and Chris Lunde; great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Tim and Ty Lunde, Lauren and Tyler Stoltman, Monte Amundson, Kennedy and Maggie May Harms; sister: Helen (Junior) Larson of Buffalo City, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband: George; brother: David L. Bautch and sister: Joan Ystenes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish with Father M. Amalanathan officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at Holy Family Parish. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, rural Arcadia, WI.
