Arlene Katherine Snoeyenbos, 78, of Pigeon Falls and formerly of Arcadia, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center under the care of St. Croix Hospice.
Arlene was born in Lamberton, MN on October 14, 1940, to Ervin and Lola (Larson) Kretsch. After graduating from high school, Arlene married Douglas Johnson on September 21, 1959, in Iowa and then moved to Arcadia. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1986. She then married Gary Snoeyenbos in June of 1988. Gary preceded her in death on August 10, 1998. Arlene worked as a manager for Associated Bank until her retirement. She was active with the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce and served on the Fransiscan-Skemp/St. Joseph's Hospital and Arcadia Library Boards. She was also a member of the Arcadia Lioness, and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles in her spare time.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Steve Becker) Johnson of Winona; son, Brad Johnson of Texas; granddaughter, Shannon Johnson Anderegg; grandson, Jacob Johnson; brothers: Michael (Susan) Simon of Athens, GA, Donald (Rosie) Kretsch of Hutchinson, MN, Jim (Carol) Kretsch of Lamberton, MN, and Tom Simon of Faribault, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Douglas and Gary; and a sister, Mary Jane Detlefson.
A memorial service to celebrate Arlene's life is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia with Celebrant Sherry Reck-Haines officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Arcadia Public Cemetery.
