Allan Blaschko

July 8, 1954 — December 6, 2023

Allan J. Blaschko, 69, of Arcadia, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on December 6, 2023. He was born to Harold and Irene (Dailey) Blaschko on July 8, 1954, in St. Peters, MN. Al married Karen Platteter at Christ Lutheran Church, Arcadia, on September 6, 1985. They had 3 children: Jenny (John) Luethi, Joey Blaschko and Jason Blaschko, and one grandson: Joel Luethi.

In 1955, the Blaschko family moved from Le Center, MN to Arcadia and started a family business, later known as Blaschko Enterprises. Allan graduated from Arcadia High School in 1972. He then continued his education at Winona Technical School for small engine repairs. He had a real knack for keeping office machinery and small engines running! Al was very active in the Arcadia Snow Riders, and enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping and hunting with his sons and grandson.

Al was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; in-laws; son: Joey; brothers: James, Dale and Gordon; and brother-in-law: Paul Dettloff. He is survived by his wife, Karen; children: Jenny (John) Luethi and Jason Blaschko all of Arcadia; grandson: Joel; brothers: Chuck (Jo) of Arcadia and Dave (Shelby) of Independence; sisters: Lori (Tom) Herbert of Prior Lake, MN and Lisa (Bob) Guza of Independence; sisters-in-law: Janice Blaschko of Arcadia, Judy (Lenny) Mettlach of Watertown, Joan Dettloff of Arcadia, and Gayle (Steve) McDonald of Winona; brother-in-law: Dave (Ann) Platteter of Arcadia; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He lived for socializing and had a positive attitude to the end! He will be missed by many and forgotten by none!
