Arcadia, Wis. Alden (Aldie) Boberg, 87 of Galesville, formerly of Arcadia passed away on March 30, 2015, at the Marinuka Manor Nursing Home with his loving family at his side.
Alden was born on February 8, 1928, to Bernard and Helena (Rohn) Boberg.
On July 12, 1954 he married Ardys J. Scow at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia WI. Together they raised 8 wonderful children.
Alden worked for the Arcadia Hatchery and then became a self- employed Poultry farmer until he retired.
Alden enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to fish, garden, bowl and especially loved his card playing with family members. Anyone that knew Alden would tell you that he was the best charcoal chicken maker. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and loved the Brewers. Alden was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He will be sadly missed here on earth but he will soar high in the sky with his beloved Ardys. He always said "she was a beautiful lady."
Alden is survived by his children: Barbara (Tony) Schultz of Winona, Patricia Weltzien of Arcadia, Richard (Cheyanne) Boberg of Arcadia, Lori (David) Skroch of Whitehall, Randall Boberg of Arcadia, Cindy (Thomas) Myers of Arcadia, Lynn (Michael) Wolfe of Arcadia and Christine (Brian) Bisek of Arcadia; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a brother: Merlin Boberg of Maple Lake, MN.
Alden was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, an infant daughter, 2 great grandsons, 2 brothers: Norman Boberg and Ralph Boberg, and a sister; Bernadine.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, April 6, 2015, at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home where there will be a 7:30 PM prayer service with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday April 7, 2015, at Calvary Cemetery in rural Arcadia.
