Albert Guenther Sr.

Albert Herman Guenther Sr. 102 of Blair and formerly Arcadia died on Thursday,  November 5, 2020, at Grandview Care Center.

Albert was born on March 3, 1918, in the township of Montana, Wisconsin to Herman and Emma (Henning) Guenther. On October 12, 1940, he was united in marriage to Irene Pampuch at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.

Albert farmed his entire life. He enjoyed mowing lawn, traveling, and driving the back roads. He was still driving when he was 99 years old. He and Irene also enjoyed going to the casino’s. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Albert is survived by his children: Albert (Janice) Guenther Jr. of Fountain City, Judeen (Melvin) Berg of Arcadia and Charleen (William) Klink of Fountain City; daughter-in-law: Joan Guenther of Arcadia; 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great- great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Irene on June 10, 2018; two sons: Alvin and Duane Guenther; brother: Edwin Guenther; sister: Dorothy Tempski; grandson: Travis Michael Klink; and great grandson: Jared Fredrickson.
